Things to remember

• Basketball is played by two teams of 5 players each. It is played in a rectangular court. At the end of each court, backboard are fixed with the rings on it.

• General rules of basketball

  • A team has 5 players in play 7 extra players. The height of basketball ring is 3.05 meters.
  • The game is played for 10 minutes in 4 phases. The team that gets highest points wins. If the score tallies, 5 minute is added as extra time.
  • The team that wins the toss chooses the side.
  • Both teams should wear the jersey no. from 4 to 15.
  • If any player scores inside the 3-point line or outside the line, the team gets 2 points or 3 points respectively.
  • You cannot dribble the ball again after u have dribble and catch.
  • You cannot remain in the restriction zone on the opponent's side.
  • There is a 5-second rule for any player not to hold the ball for 5 seconds.
  • Teams should take the ball in the opponents side within 8 seconds.
  • Teams should shoot the ball within 24 seconds.
