Constipation

Subject: Midwifery III (Theory)

Overview

Constipation happens when the tools are inconsistent and difficult, requiring the infant to strain while passing feces. It is related to a lack of fluid intake. It is uncommon in breastfed babies. Because of incorrect formula, this condition is most commonly found in artificially fed infants. Other reasons for constipation include a lack of fluids and an imperforated anus, which does not produce enough milk. Constipation can be relieved by drinking more water, drinking glucose water, drinking boiling water frequently, and drinking plenty of breast milk. Constipation can be relieved by stimulating the anal sphincter using lubrication on the fingertips.

Constipation occurs when the tools are infrequent and difficult, requiring the infant to strain when passing feces. It is caused by a lack of hydration intake. It is uncommon in breast-fed babies.
