Vomiting is the return of gastric contents into the mouth due to any cause.It is common in young babies for no apparent reason, but a newborn baby may vomit within 24 hours.The vomiting contains mucous, amniotic fluid, and sometimes blood that the infant swallowed during labor.Vomiting can be caused by a poor feeding techniques, disease conditions, or infections. If a child is bottlefed, the amount or strength of the food may be excessive, the cardiac sphincter of the stomach may relax too much, intestinal obstruction, and esophageal atresia may also cause vomiting.
