Interpersonal relationships are defined as the connection, interaction, or transaction between two persons. Social connections, affiliations, and linkages between two or more individuals are referred to as interpersonal relationships. It is crucial to avoid misunderstandings with clients and the ongoing flow of services in the health sector.
Communication is a crucial aspect of nursing practice. A nurse's top priority is to build a rapport with the client while staying within the bounds of professionalism and ethics. Customers seek our assistance, which we deliver by employing facilitative communication techniques.
Health personnel individually are doctors, nurses, nurse aids, administrative staffs, housekeeping members and technical staffs. As a team they are called health personnel. Health personnel are linked with the issues of client/patients. They are more focused to the treatment and care of the client. To provide care and promote the wellness of the client and for the better working environment, the interpersonal relationship should be established. No work place can be successful, no work objectives can be fulfilled and no organization can meet its requirement without having a good and healthy interpersonal relationship. Proper communication and good interpersonal relationship among the team members provides an opportunity for good cooperation and coordination in their work which helps to achieve their goals. IPR builds trusting relationship and influence others which helps to deliver results with integrity. IPR makes the team productive, provides an arena to put their effort together to meet the desires goal.
A community is commonly considered as a social (a group of people) who have something in common such as norms, values, identity and often a sense of place that is situated in given geographical area (eg: a village, town or neighborhood). Community health nurse or public health nurse are more responsible to establish IPR with the community related to health issues. When good and healthy IPR is established with the community people a worth of trust is gained and it becomes easier to work in that scenario. Good IPR between the nurse and community is the vital factor for the nurse to prevent and promote health standard of community people. It helps to know and understand the feelings, culture, customs, beliefs, tradition, norms and values of of the community. Good IPR even aids to identify their socio-economical level, health related problems which can be beneficial to promote the health of the community. The community health nurse should establish IPR with the community leaders, CHW, VHW, health post incharge and with other organization which will help to work together effectively to meet the goal.
