Overview

It is the skin's inflammatory reaction to several external and endogenous factors. There are three different forms of eczema: enzematous Atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and eczematous dermatitis. The eruption of a lesion with touch, redness, oedema, vesicles, oozing crusting, and later lichenification are the signs and symptoms of rashes (later). Additionally, the usage of emollients, potassium permanganate 18000 solutions, calamine or zinc oxide lotion, steroid ointment, antihistamine, and avoiding allergens are all used in the treatment of eczema.

Type

  • Dermatitis from contact
    • Due to skin contact with plastics, rubber, metals (chromium, nickel), clothing, and household items. Due to skin contact with cosmetics (lipsticks, lotions, moisturizers, hair colors, deodorants, scents). (Drugs, soap, detergents, antiseptics, and panels) (sulfa, penicillin, LA, streptomycin).
  • Dermatitis atopy
    • People with genetic susceptibility
  • Enzematous dermatitis infections
    • Because of specific infections.

Clinical features

  • The lesion's eruption upon contact.
  • Vesicles, leaking crusting, redness, edema, and later lichenification (later).

Treatment

  • Potassium permanganate 18000 solutions and emolent usage.
  • Either calamine or zinc oxide cream.
  • Steroid cream.
  • Antihistamine.
  • Preventing exposure to allergens
