Overview

An adaptation to environmental stress known as a coping mechanism is based on conscious or unconscious decision-making, and it improves behavioral control or provides psychological comfort. People often employ one of the three primary coping mechanisms when dealing with stress. All children have a need and a right to be relieved of pain. These tactics are appraisal-focused strategies, problem-focused strategies, and emotional focus strategies. Basically, there are two categories of pain-relieving techniques: non-pharmacological techniques like distraction, relaxation, guided imagery, and cutaneous stimulation, and pharmacological techniques that require attention to four right factors: the right drug, right dose, right route, and the right time, as well as watching for side effects. The six rights of pediatric medication are Right medication, Right patient, Right time, Right route, Recommended dose, and Right documentation.
